Cooking with Coconut Oil by Elizabeth Nyland – this is an awesome cookbook where everything is gluten-free and grain-free and, as the title gives away, all made with the use of coconut oil. I’ve been really trying to add more coconut oil into my life since I’m trying to adapt to a more paleo-ish (not really but I guess it’s the closest to what I’m ideally trying to be doing) diet. I haven’t made anything from the book yet but I will be sure to show you what I make, once I do. I’ve already bookmarked a few recipes.. can’t wait to give them a go in the new year!

I’m a lover of jam in general and I used to use it frequently as topping for my ice cream and yogurt. But since I’m now trying to eat much less dairy (not completely eliminated but I’m making it realistic), I haven’t used much jam. But this jam is great. It’s sugar-free and used Xylitol to sweeten. Plus it’s raspberry flavor. Yes please!

Photography by Kamila GorniaWe all know Enjoy Life Foods is just great. Not only are they dairy-free but they are also gluten-free. Perfect. Exactly what I’m trying to do! The dark chocolate morsels were delicious and the bars are great too, especially that cocoa loco flavor – my favorite. But then again, I love chocolate.. like, a lot. ;)

Bestowed BestowedI got another Bestowed box and I liked this month’s products. They were all savory and this was perfect since I want to get away from eating sweets so much. It’s time to transform my palate into being more into savory foods rather than sweet foods. Bring it on! You can get your Bestowed box at 50% off with code “HELLOYUM40″. Check it out here.

Oh and if you like gift memberships – they are cool to check out as well on Bestowed. You can choose between 3-, 6-, or 12- month memberships. If you like surprises in each package and healthy snacks- I think it’s well worth it. Check it out.

Screen Shot 2013-12-22 at 1.22.09 PMUm yeah, I’ve already mentioned Erin Stutland’s Shrink Session many times before. After meeting her at I&P, I fell in love with her approach to fitness that encompasses affirmations and changing your mind as well as your body for the better. I’m in love with her workouts. Check her out.

If you’re curious as to what I’m reading lately and what things I’ve got on my to-read list, check out my previous post!

Green Giant Veggie Chips Review

Are you picky about your snacks?

I am. Especially when it comes to savory snacks. I’m much more of a sweets kind of girl so when I snack on chips or crackers, they have to be good. And not just good tasting, they have to also be at least a little bit good-for-you.

I’ve always enjoyed veggie chips. So when Green Giant sent me these two varieties of their new Veggie Tortilla Chips and Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips, I was excited to give them a try.

Green Giant Veggie Chips Sweet Potato

I think it’s not a secret that I love sweet potatoes. Regular potatoes are SOOOO 10 years ago. For me anyway, ha. We used to eat potatoes all the time back in Poland. As a matter of fact, the town I grew up in was also known as “Potato Town” and we had an annual Potato Fest. So yeah, I know my potatoes.

When I finally discovered Sweet Potatoes when I moved to the US, I fell in love. Regular potato-what? SO over it. Welcome to the beautiful world of Sweet Potatoes, where these sweeter starchy root veggies are full of wonder and delight. Haha.

So yeah, combine the yummo of sweet potatoes with barbecue sauce and you get LOVE. I’m that girl that highly dislikes eating her sweet potatoes sweet and MUCH prefer the savory route. These chips are perfect.

Breakfast for Dinner? Yes please! #FoodieChats at Yolk Chicago!

Have you heard of the uber popular Twitter party #FoodieChats?

It’s a Twitter party that takes place every Monday at 7pm CST and is led by SteveGoGreen. Each week, the Twitter party accompanies a real live event as well and I was fortunate to have been picked by Katy of Naner-a-Day to go as her date to this event. This week’s special theme was near and dear to my heart – something I absolutely LOVE and was therefore super excited about going – Breakfast for Dinner – taking place at Yolk Chicago, one of the the best breakfast spots in Chicago.

I’m not a gamer but I do like games

I’m a nerd. A dork. Whatever. I won’t try to hide it. I like to play games. And when I say games, I mean that in the literal sense – I like to play games on my computer and my smartphone sometimes.

Well I haven’t played any games on my computer in a long time – very long, in fact. But I used to do it a lot, it’s fun and it was my form of escape and relaxation. Now that we have iPads (full of games, I love my big screen!) and the new Verizon Android from VZWVoices, I surely had to download some games to keep me busy when boredom came on and I was not in the mood to be productive (as rare of that is).

Here I’m going to share with you my four favorite games of the moment. I wonder if you’ve played these before too?
