Ohh my goodness, you guys!
Alright seriously though – I love caramelized onions. Love Love Love! I used to love raw onions too but I found that each time I had raw onions, or even onions that were thrown in for an omelette, my tummy would not be very happy with that. Thankfully I don’t have that issue with grilled or caramelized onions – and thank Goodness for that because these babies are deeeee-licious!
What’s a better way to take a normally boring meal up a notch? Add caramelized onions! Want to add a whole other dimension that’s complex yet simple at the same time – well there ya go! And the best thing of all, you can make caramelized onions in your Crock Pot and that requires barely any effort at all!
This couldn’t be any easier. The outcome is just amazing. Legit caramelized onions. Like, I was drooling just thinking about what I could put them on. And the smell that filled my apartment… oh my goodness, just glorious! That sweet sweet scent… heavenly.
Good thing this is fine on the Grain Brain challenge or else I’d be very sad. Or at least… I think it’s allowed. Whatever. It’s a vegetable. It’s fine.
Ahhhh…. the best topping to make in a Crock Pot. For real.
