I’m not a fitness newbie, but I’m also not a pro. I am simply a girl who wants to stay and get as active and fit as I can so that I can continue leading a happy healthy life. Here are some of my unconventional reasons for getting fit. I love all types of activities, from boxing to Zumba to Yoga, and I am always on the look out for new things to do so that my routine stays fresh and exciting.

I am a total fitness program geek and I work best when I am on a defined workout program, especially when it comes to weight training. I have already tried and completed several fitness programs. This blog will also allow me to make notes about which programs are worth it and which ones weren’t (for me).
Fitness Programs:
- P90x (fully completed in 2010, but going to try it again eventually)
- Insanity (completed one month in 2010, but going to try again eventually)
- ChaLEAN Extreme (review)
- Curvalicious by Flavia Del Monte (review)

Hi Kammie! I hope you do get this message since this post was from a while back. I was wondering since you like to try workouts on DVD, I was wondering if you have ever used any of Gilad’s (Bodies on Motion from the 80′s- 90′s). He of course has recent videos (2011 and 2012) and a few that I like the best are Elite Forces, Power and Grace and Abs on Fire. All his workouts are shot in Hawaii. I have been working out with Gilad since I was 17 and I am almost 37!!! These really do keep me in great shape for the everyday, but also for my black belt test this coming fall. My daughter , who’s 10 got her black belt almost a year ago! I have not yet tried PX 90 or Insanity, but I have recently started working out with a friend from karate and she has both of those workouts so I am excited to give them a try! Anyway, try Gilad’s workouts and see what you think!!!!
Hey Amy, I’ve never heard of Gilad actually but I will be sure to check out his workout DVDs. I do get in that DVD mood still once in a while. I bet karate is super fun with your friend! Let me know how you like P90x or Insanity if you do give them a try!
Hey again! I wanted to stop by again to tell you that I started a little blog of my own. You are more than welcome to come and visit me!(I did a post about my Gilad workouts, too!)
Also, the only PX 90 that I’ve done so far with my friend was a 90 minute yoga DVD. It was great! We are going for the hard core one next week! I can’t wait!
Hopping over to check it out
congrats on the new blog!! Welcome to the blogosphere!
