Caution: this post is completely random and I haven’t even had real Nutella in months. But I still love it. *.*

Ahh… Nutella. This is my love. Sadly, I can’t eat it. I just can’t. It’s a total and complete trigger food for me. I simply cannot stop at the recommended serving size. I mean really, how does one only eat 2 Tbsp of Nutella? It’s virtually impossible. Seriously. This chocolatey hazelnutty goodness is just out of this world. I know every time we used to buy a jar, it would be gone way too quickly. I would slather a thick (and I mean, thick) spread on two slices of bread and call it a day. Mmmm calories… fat…. chocolate… I can’t believe I used to think Nutella was actually healthy when I was a child. It’s nothing but sugar and fat! That was way before I started actually reading labels instead of listening to advertising and marketing portrayals.

Strangely, I’ve been seeing a lot of pictures and videos posted on Facebook from friends about this crack-butter I call Nutella. Must be the time of the year that everyone’s starting to get cozy and comfy and eating more… haha. So since I can’t eat it, I think I’ll use this time to dedicate some virtual Nutella love time. Yay! Some truths about the best crack butter in the world that I cannot eat… Wooo!

This is totally utterly wrong… hahaha!

Oh my gosh, thank GOD we don’t have those in Chicago – I’d be doomed! Although I have had crepes with Nutella in them and ohhh my lordie… heaven.

She knows what she’s talking about, ladies and gentlemen. One bite and I go into a deep deep sugar coma.

And those dreams include….

Haha this totally cracked me up… those fitspo and thinspo pinterest pictures are definitely motivational, but then someone goes and makes it that much more real!

Like I said… they all know. CRACK BUTTER!

Exactly how I feel:

And now, to steer you away from eating a full jar of this deliciousness… I was jealous at first when he was eating this but after a while, I could feel his pain. It’s just too much to eat a whole jar. And I bet he went to throw up right after. So I think this is a perfect way to end this ode to Nutella 🙂 Enjoy!

  1. Hahahah this made my day. “Bitch have you tried nutella?” so true!

  2. Have you tried Rawtella? It’s every bit as delicious, but way healthier – and it’s satisfying/filling from the protein and fiber, so you’re less likely to go overboard! I reviewed it here, if you want to see what it looks like on bread: http://living-learning-eating.blogspot.com/2012/09/raw-vegan-nutella-rawtella-review.html

  3. Funny stuff! Can’t eat Nutella anymore, but I have made my own vegan version :-).

  4. hahaha this is hysterical… is it bad that I’ve never tried nutella? lol

  5. I like it too, but I can control it… lucky me!

I cannot keep salted peanuts around… same kinda thing.

    Great post, love the pictures!

  6. i haven’t had nutella in forever… that needs to change. don’t you think?

  7. Omg, halfway through that video, my stomach was turning! I can’t believe he finished the whole thing! And that was a HUGE jar! I used to love Nutella…totally addicted like so many others…and then, a few years ago, I polished off half a (regular-sized) jar one night with some evil little animal crackers (they only look like innocent kid-friendly food). Mindless eating at its best…or should I say worst? The next day, I woke up with a stomach ache (go figure) and threw the rest of the jar in the trash and I haven’t liked it since. I’ve even tried a few different brands, like Trader Joe’s version, but I just can’t eat it anymore…it doesn’t even taste remotely good to me. But give me a jar of Biscoff spread? Oh hell, it is ON!!

  8. Haha! This is awesome. Gotta love Nutella!

  9. Bahahahaaaaaaa. Nutella IS crack. I haven’t had it in a long time … but oh, is it delicious!

  10. bwhahahah – how to catch white people cracked me up. i miss nutella. *sigh*

  11. holy crap….this is so freakin funny! and so sadly true. why is it so diabolically irresistible?

  12. GIrl don’t even get me started with Nutella. It’s basically my childhood in a jar…love it! When I was in France, I literally purchased and ate 3-4 crepes with Nutella a day. Dangerous but so delicious!

  13. I totally agree with the whole Nutella=Crack Butter! If you love Nutella, try the Biscoff spread that is new! You will love it!

    • Oh yeah, my roommate is obsessed with Biscoff. I don’t even want to try it, I’m scared I’ll get addicted to that one too haha. One day, one day..

      • It is a bad addiction to have! I just made no-bake cookies with it. I’m pretty much giving them all away to neighbors, or all my hard work this week will be for nothing.

        • Haha man, don’t you hate that? I have to refrain from baking certain things when I know my roommates aren’t home because I know I’ll devour it all if I don’t have people to share it with haha. That’s why I usually only bake cheat desserts at my parents’ house.

  14. I have a love-hate relationship with Nutella. I grew up thinking it was healthy too. My cousin and I used to eat it with a spoon straight from the jar. I think I would throw up if I did that now. My dad came home with a jar for my son a few weeks ago and I was like Nooooo!! don’t teach him about the crack butter. Hahaha.

    • Hahaha Oh my gosh, I know right – it’s so addicting! I hope your son doesn’t get addicted to it haha moderation is key though. I wish I knew moderation when it came to Nutella, it’s like a nonexistent word when it comes to this haha thanks for sharing too! xo

  15. bahahah. this made me giggle. i love it!!
