For those who have never heard of the sweet whipped pineapple pops, the tangy, fluffy fruity treat is usually made from pureed pineapple, pineapple juice, vanilla ice cream, a dash of lemon juice and a dash of lime juice. Now, the juice of the pineapple is high in sugar, so we decided to create a recipe for healthy pineapple pops. Healthy fruit pops that children and dieters could enjoy. So, how did we make a healthy pineapple ice pop?
Equipment needed to make this low calorie pineapple whip:
- A food processor or blender
- 4 Popsicle molds
Ingredients required for homemade pineapple pops:
- A cupful of unsweetened almond milk
- One large banana
- Four cups of fresh pineapple
- Pop all of the ingredients into the food processor or blender
- Blend the three ingredients until they form a creamy fruity mixture
- Spoon the creamed pineapple mixture into four ice pop molds and place them on a freezer tray
- Put the tray of low calorie pineapple pops into the freezer to set
Each frozen pineapple lollipop contains just over 100 calories, so, in effect, they are diet whipped pineapple pops. Kids adore the creamy Pineapple frozen pops and these fruit ice pops are the perfect healthy sweet treat. There are many recipes for creamy pineapple pops, but plenty of the cool whips are calorie laden.
