What I Ate Wednesdays #23: Yogurt, donuts, and cashew butter crazy

Spread the love

It’s Tuesday that this day was recorded and today was a great day. I wasn’t very hungry all day even though I did some cardio in the morning and bikram yoga in the evening. That’s okay. I was pretty satisfied with my eats of the day overall anyway. I’m diving right in..

Peas and Crayons

Today was pretty cold (56F!) and it was time to take out the big scarf! Yay for that (Autumn is officially here!)

Meal 1: post-workout breakfast consisted of one pumpkin protein donut (recipe will be up tomorrow!) with some greek yogurt mixed with MRM egg white protein powder, pumpkin pie spice, and stevia.

Meal 2: Starfruit Cafe finally introduced the salted caramel kefir flavor and I was in love! I had it along with coconut flavor side by side. I topped it with mixed berries and cinnamon. Amazeballs!

My favorite, TAZO Vanilla Rooibos tea from Starbucks before class.

Meal 3: Another pumpkin protein donut with greek yogurt but this time I added some cashew butter. I’m getting used to the flavor, see Lisa?

Meal 4: After hot yoga, I was craving something fresh. Since I had all sweet things all day, I went for a salad. This is a recycled picture but it was delicious, as per usual. I love my salads. It was with spinach, tomatoes, dried basil, balsamic, lemon juice, raisins, nooch, and crushed Food Should Taste Good chips.

Meal 5: Greek yogurt with MRM egg white protein powder and cashew butter on top. (unpictured)

Summary:’ I went yogurt, donut, and cashew butter crazy? It’s okay. It was good 🙂

Side note: If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to check out my coconut oil giveaway. It ends Sunday!

Side note two: I posted a tiramisu cupcakes cheat day recipe if you haven’t checked it out yet 🙂 (yes, this is a shameless plug)

  1. Happy WIAW! Your pumpkin protein donuts look tasty. 🙂

  2. Ohhhh… I need a doughnut! That looks positively decadent!

  3. The donuts look fantastic. And you can get salted caramel flavour? Oh wow that sounds fantastic!! P.S. I adore your scarf. x

  4. I wish it was cold enough to wear scarves…I’m in AZ, and it’s still in the high 90s! 😛 Is there a recipe for the donuts? The pic of it mixed with the yogurt is very appetizing!

  5. weeeh, I just purchased a donut form and think about getting a donut maker – so let the recipes come 😉

Question: What do you use for making your donuts? A form and the oven or a donutmaker (similar to a waffle iron)?

  6. You had me at donuts…done deal!

    Happy WIAW 🙂

  7. Gorgeous photos doll! Gah, I feel like I could reach through my screen and grab one of those doughnuts…or maybe that’s just wishful thinking? 😉

And I’m sorry, but your fro-yo shop not only serves kefir, but SALTED CARAMEL KEFIR?! I’m totally jealous!

It took me a while to come around to the flavor of cashew butter (which is weird because I LOVE making cashew cream sauces) but I’ve never tried it with sweet dishes. I’ll have to give that a go!

  8. My white chicken chili was my favorite thing. Yum!

    Love the scarf! 🙂

  9. Jealous of the scarf!! Its cold here at nights, but otherwise its still 90 degrees during the day. Im so ready for scarf weather!

  10. We’re twins! I recently started playing around with my own protein pumpkin doughnuts! Did you add raisins to yours? Can’t wait to see your recipe and give it a shot too! I love Fall and pumpkin! 🙂

  11. Favorite thing yesterday was either quinoa or a pear. Loved both!

I can’t wait to see that pumpkin protein doughnut… Are those chocolate chips or blueberries I see? EITHER WAY is FINE BY ME 🙂

  12. Yay for breaking out the scarves! We’ve been having scarf weather here recently as well… The days are alright, but mornings and evenings are getting so chilly that it’s become impossible to walk around without multiple layers on. That’s alright though, all the more reason to enjoy a delicious hot cup of coffee/tea with one of those donuts 🙂

  13. wow those donuts look yummy! looking forward to the recipe!

  14. Yay! Glad to see you enjoying it more:)
Those doughnuts look excellent! Probably the best looking I’ve seen…it helps that they’re pumpkin! I’ve never been much of a doughnut fan…but you’re making me reconsider.

  15. The vanilla rooibos is my favorite tea as well!! It’s fantastic and I always buy packages of it at Starbucks.

Can’t wait for the doughnut recipe! I’ve been dying for a doughnut pan.

  16. Can hardly wait for the recipe!!

  17. Can’t wait for that pumpkin protein donut recipe. Looks amazing. Love your scarf and sunglasses, btw!
